Company History
Gail Pierce has more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and management of people and events. Gail spent 23 years with G. D. Searle & Company headquartered in Chicago, IL.
During her tenure with G. D. Searle, she served as Executive Assistant to William and Daniel Searle and assisted Donald Rumsfeld (former Secretary of Defense) when he took over leadership of the company from 1977 through 1980.
When the company was purchased by Monsanto, Gail ventured out of the Corporate Office into pharmaceutical field sales, hospital sales, sales training, professional relations and District sales management. Gail has been responsible for planning and executing numerous corporate meetings and trips all over the country. Gail also has management experience with Endo Pharmaceuticals, Chadds Ford, PA, and Fleming Pharmaceuticals, St. Louis, Missouri.
Gail’s experience also includes Media Broadcast Sales. She was employed by WWSW Radio (3WS) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she worked with a wide variety of clients and developed effective marketing and campaigns and special events.
Earlier in her career, Gail worked for Lancôme Cosmetics and created retail promotions and events to promote their product line.
Gail has developed strong relationships in the Pittsburgh area. She is highly flexible and creative and can turn an “idea” into an “event to remember".

Shaun Pierce has worked in media, marketing and events for over 15 years. He attended the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI and began his career with Walt Disney Studios doing field marketing & promotional events for Touchstone, Hollywood and Walt Disney Pictures.
In 1994, Shaun began a broadcasting career at radio station WWSW AM/FM in Pittsburgh, PA doing promotions and production. He has worked in marketing and promotions for Renda Broadcasting, Clear Channel, CBS Radio, Radio Disney, WAMO, WQED multimedia and Salem Communications.
Throughout his career, Shaun has produced some of the largest and most successful events in and around Pittsburgh, PA. He brought the popular "Skyblast" show to Pittsburgh and has been a part of countless community festivals, fundraisers and concerts both large and small.
He was chosen by Pennsylvania Governor and former Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge to produce his inaugural festivities in 1998. He hosted the grand opening of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in Sharon, PA, co-produced some of the most successful fundraising concert events in the history of PBS, and produced a Sept. 11th live broadcast from the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
Recent corporate productions include the grand opening of Cinemark Movie Theatre, Giant Eagle Market District, and PNC Bank conversion.
He served on the formation committe and launched the Pittsburgh Chapter of the International Special Events Society where he currently serves as Vice President of Communications. He also serves on the planning committe for International Networking Day.
Shaun has done weddings and private parties throughout the region. Shaun has experience in concert production, marketing, graphic design and web development. From corporate events and fundraisers to weddings and class reunions, Shaun can produce an event where the sky is the limit.

Jim Pierce is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications / Mass Media.
He served as News Director and Executive Producer for WIUP Television and as a mainstay on 90.1 FM - WIUP Radio. After graduation he returned to Pittsburgh and began working for Clear Channel Radio in both sales and promotions capacities.
Jim left Clear Channel Radio for the opportunity to travel coast to coast doing state of the art product demonstration and training for Panasonic Worldwide. Through Jim’s product knowledge, love of technology, and experience in radio and promotions he was able to bring a new level of creativity and excitement to corporate events and trade shows.
When Jim wasn’t traveling, he was performing as a mobile DJ at clubs, private parties, and weddings through out the tri-state area.
His passion and energy for music and entertainment is clear, and he brings that to everything he does at Pierce Events.
